Gave Jeremy a new faceup. I usually aim for more natural colors so this time I wanted to try darker colors especially for the eyebrows and eye shadows. Here's the results:
I love how the lips turned out but meh, not that hot about the eyes. I guess really not very used to using dark colors LOL. I think I'll have to redo it some time. I like his current look better than his first one though, I think his wig really suits him. Maybe if he has a better faceup..... (¯⌓¯)
I also tried some body blushing on his body! I messed up his back and legs a little so there are still some signs of smudges here and there but I guess now I know better. It's also the first time I tried giving "manicures" to my doll although I skipped the gloss. Maybe I should have added it??

Seriously though, body blushing really makes such a difference! I wonder what I've been doing all this while without body blushing LOL. I'll try to do blushing on the rest of my smaller since I'm not too confident with the bigger boys yet. (>.<)

Faceups on Doll Family-A Ludwig and Doll Family-H Xiao Xing practice heads. The eyebrows still suck as usual (WHY CAN'T I IMPROVE?! URGH) but at least they can be covered up with the wig. (¬_¬) Considering they are practice heads, I'll probably re-do the faceup when I'm not feeling too lazy....

I still don't know what to call Xiao Xing lmao so I'll just go with Mu Yeong for now. Meanwhile, Mu Jeong (Mu Myeong's brother) is on temporary wig/eyes until I get one with similar colors as Mu Myeong.

FIRST FACEUP + BODY BLUSHING : APRIL 9
Gave the guy his first faceup. And it's also my second attempt at body blushing! Actually I did the body blushing on the same day I did Xue. I don't really know where to blush so I just blushed wherever I like lmao, particularly the collarbones and torso. I really like the additional realism it gives to the doll! I think I will try to give the rest of my boys body blushing when I can! (≧▽≦) I'm a little concerned if the blushing will come off easily though; I'm not very keen to un-string him to wash him and then restring him again. (๑•́ ₃ •̀๑)
I really adore the MK one-piece torso body! He poses well right out of the box too (no restringing needed) and stands like a rock. Although I think he could probably do more poses with the two-piece or three-piece torso body, I absolutely have no regrets choosing this body!
Finished look! I ended up loving the little guy so much that I'm happy to have him home even if Mu Myeong is still bodiless LOL!
Sorry for the low quality and dark images, I have taken some photos of him but I haven't got around to edit them yet so I'll post them up in a couple days... (maybe). I also modified his wig to add the little pigtails like An Bi Cheng in Chang An Fantastic Nights! And yes, little guy is also called Bi Cheng LOL (LMAO at myself (◐ω◐))

On a whim (kinda), I went and ordered two heads, a Mystic Kids Miri and Doll Family-A Bach 2014 Summer Practice Head, from an official dealer/agent (CC Dollhouse) on Taobao since Taobao now does consolidation and direct shipping to my country and also because it was more convenient buying from different stores from a single agent, kinda like Junkyspot I guess.
I really like the Mystic Kids Miri sculpt but I couldn't decide to get her with a female or male body, because as you know, I'm biased towards boys. In the end I just went with the head first. They both arrived on 25 Jan and here's little Rain doing the box opening with her mistress. (●>ω<●)
Sorry for the grainy and heavily filtered photos. Rain's eyes looks fully black because of the bad lightning so don't mind it too much. (>_<)

So I did a new faceup for Takeru while doing one for new boy on the block Jeremy, and took the chance to take some photos of Takeru with his new faceup when I did a photoshoot for Rain modeling a bag for sale.

DIM Ace has been on my wishlist for like, forever, but I always put off getting him since he wasn't limited. I came back to the hobby after a hiatus and found that they were having a "last sale" for the dolls before the sculpts were discontinued, which was really kind of lucky for me because I was just in time to buy him. The sale was nice, but the trade-off was that he didn't come with the official box, which was disappointing because I'd love to have the box too even if I don't have space left at home for it LOL!! Anyway, I ordered him on Nov 17 and he arrived on Dec 28.

I mentioned in J.D's box opening that I had to add his scar myself because Switch wouldn't do it for me no matter how I begged/cajoled/threatened/blackmailed them. It was so nerve-wrecking because it was like I had only one chance to get it right, since he came with default faceup and if I got the scar wrong I'd have to wipe the entire faceup and I didn't know how to do faceups on tanned skin.
Anyhow, I think it turned out pretty okay!

I was supposed to get started on another project last weekend, but while I was taking instant photo of Junsu with some food, I noticed that, horror of horrors, his chest has a big brown stain on him!! At first I thought it was the food but it turned out to be the metallic buttons on his little froggy shirt, which has turned rusty! So I had to ditch the shirt and hastily make him an outfit so that he won't have to go naked. Anyway, the outfit I've been promising him is long overdue, so I guess this incident is just forcing me to stop procrastinating! ROFL!
Then while I was making the outfit, he went and faceplant himself on the table and chipped his faceup.... so I ended up having to spend the next day redo-ing his faceup as well! OTL

I had another outfit design in mind for him but I was short on time so I just did something more simple. (And also partially because I had a last minute idea to make a "sailor" theme outfit for him LOL!) The hat isn't completed either; I just sort of haphazardly put everything together instead of sewing it properly, so I'll have to redo it again later.
I'll also make him the other outfit I had in mind when I have more time to. But until then, I'll probably just procrastinate again ROFL.

It took me a while before I had a little more time to finally sit down and work on my Switch head's faceup... I was really worried about getting my first attempt wrong as I didn't want to rewipe the faceup and risk damaging the lovely resin (an irrational fear, I know). But everything looked okay until it was time to put in the eyes and the wig, that's when I noticed something was really off!
I suppose you can see the problem at first glance in the photo, though it wasn't that apparent while I was working on it. I really hate the eyebrows, which are not only misaligned but they also make him look really dorky. I wish I can draw symmetrical and expressive eyebrows like professional artists do but hey, I'm no pro... I still wish I can get better at it though. (;___;) So I'll probably have to end up re-doing the faceup again some day, or send him off to an artist. Meanwhile, I'll probably just find another wig to hide his eyebrows temporarily...
Until then, have some dorky Aki's spam. （≧▽≦）

As I am (and still am) in the midst of cleaning up, re-arranging and renovating my room, I didn't manage to spend some time with little Junsu as I'd like. T_T I only just managed to finish his faceup this week - a crappy one but at least he doesn't have stay... blank lol. Here's a quick snapshot of the little guy in his new faceup!
Already he's starting to feel lonely without his twin (imaginary for now LOL) around so I think I better try to spend more time with him and post more photos of him when I can! And I still have to work on his outfit! orz *keeping fingers crossed*

I was taking some simple photos of Yurr when my camera battery died on me... so I redid Tetsuya's faceup instead while I recharged it... then took some new photos of the little guy after it was recharged... I still need more improvements on the lines but whatever 囧rz.

It took me a whole day to redo Toma and Hyunie's faceups but I'm pretty pleased with them considering there are no smudges, obviously uneven eyebrows and weird mouth line this time. ¬_¬ I still think there can be some improvements at certain parts (eyebrows are always the main culprit) but whatever, I'm tired lol. My dad managed to fix my camera (imbal dad!) and so here are some quick snapshots of Toma! ♥

A bit of a delay but here is Yushu with the 2nd faceup that was done last week - with lower and slightly thicker eyebrows, though it still suck anyway. I think I'm going to have to redo it again some time... T_T

I first saw Drayton (2nd version) last year on DoA, went gaga and stalked him for a while, then decided he was "unattainable" and forgot about him for a spell. Then I saw a certain someone (*ahem*) on a certain drama (rofl) and remembered Drayton, and then I just had to get him (looool at me)!
But with all those problems msDoll's agent, nDoll, has been having, it was going to be hard. I tried pm-ing msDoll on DoA but they thought it was a temporary problem due to the holiday seasons. Even then, I didn't want to risk it. Somehow, a month or so later my itchy fingers took the initiative to pm msDoll again and this time they agreed to sell me directly! Luckily, they had him in stock in Korea and shipped him to me a few days later.
He came on Feb 3 and I did his first crappy faceup on Feb 4. Here is his hasty box-opening :

Hoho! Decided to revamp Hae Seong's faceup today, and while I was at it, I also took out the Luts Winter 2010 head that I got from last year but which was chucked into my cupboard due to some... stinking problem about staining.
As usual, I still suck at painting eyebrows, the lines suck and I think I painted them too high (-.-), but I am happy with the slight improvement on the lips and moles. Yes, moles. I gave them both "beauty marks" all over their faces LOL. Plus, I think I am in love with the Luts Winter Head now, time to give him a name and a character maybe! >w<

With extra wig and eyes I have lying around. Think he uses 16mm eyes.
I like how he look with 14mm but there are "gaps" at the sides of the eyes.
Might probably need to get him new eyes and wigs! (￣▽￣)

I guess not, his head is much bigger than Chrom, but well, a girl's got to try.

Speaking of which, dolly plan is changing again. I may have to butcher some Jr. characters (aka tinies) just so that I can keep to my 7-tinies limit and not have it ballooned to 12 or 13 =.= Maybe I'll just have senior versions for Manabu and Masaru and skip the Jr. versions. But, I guess I'll see.....

I did a faceup for little Tetsuya and Hyun last week but I didn't like it, so I redid them again. The current ones are a little more back to my natural style but with *slightly* more color to the eye areas and cheeks than I would usually use. Here are the results! (though I don't think the photos captured the colors much.....OTL)

Decided to redo Tohma's faceup as his old faceup sort of faded. I still suck at it but I think there's a little improvement from my previous ones. ^^ I like his cheeks, it has an healthy look to it compared to the previous one I did. It looked a little light in the photos though... >_<
