I mentioned in a previous post that I got a doll bust display stand for Aki (Switch Huisa). I propped it up to make it taller so he can wear clothes and I think I like it a lot better now! He almost looks like he's a full doll in photos even if he's sans the arms and lower parts of his body lmao! Dang, now I'm really tempted to start collecting doll bust display stands for the rest of my floating heads too! Σ(ﾟДﾟ；!
Time to start dressing him up more with accessories! (♥ ∇ ♥)

After seeing Loong Soul's doll bust display stand with the dreamy Miao Jun head on it, I regretfully report that I've gotten a fascination with those display stands LOL.
I figured I would get one for Aki, my Switch Huisa's head, since he probably won't be getting a body any time soon (probably never LOL) but then I figured I might as well wait until I have the moolah to bring Miao Jun (or Lie Er) home and buy them together during a promotion for more bang for my bucks. I managed to find another lower priced bust stand from Taobao and got one to "test out" since I've never seen a doll bust display stand before. It's much simpler than the Loong Soul one based from the photos, but it works. I'm just glad the neck more or less fits and the skin tone is more or less close. Anyhow, I can still use this stand for one of my many other heads when I eventually get the Loong Soul bust display stand for Aki. (≧▽≦ )
The bust display stand is really much smaller and lighter than I expected LOL!! But after seeing how Aki looks on it, I'm pretty tempted to get more stands for the rest of my doll heads LOL! But like my preference in doll bodies, I'll probably go for variety with these bust display stands as well. My next dolly bust display stand goal (lmao) is to get that Loong Soul one.
I might be crazy but I'm also thinking of blushing the display stand lol. One day maybe, when I work on a faceup!

Took some random, quick snapshots of my floating heads on J's body to use as profile pictures for my doll profiles on DOA. Their looks are not really finalized, like Toma needs a new wig and Aki needs a new faceup... and both of them needs a proper body, while Hee Chul needs a character, and possible a new name. I realized that I really need to spend more time on my dolls; some are severely in need of a makeover and better photos lol but urgh, I guess I'm just going to use "I'm backlogged" as my excuse again OTL.

It took me a while before I had a little more time to finally sit down and work on my Switch head's faceup... I was really worried about getting my first attempt wrong as I didn't want to rewipe the faceup and risk damaging the lovely resin (an irrational fear, I know). But everything looked okay until it was time to put in the eyes and the wig, that's when I noticed something was really off!
I suppose you can see the problem at first glance in the photo, though it wasn't that apparent while I was working on it. I really hate the eyebrows, which are not only misaligned but they also make him look really dorky. I wish I can draw symmetrical and expressive eyebrows like professional artists do but hey, I'm no pro... I still wish I can get better at it though. (;___;) So I'll probably have to end up re-doing the faceup again some day, or send him off to an artist. Meanwhile, I'll probably just find another wig to hide his eyebrows temporarily...
Until then, have some dorky Aki's spam. （≧▽≦）

Switch had a Symphony event earlier in May whereby some of their older heads were re-released for sale, and among them was Huisa, one of the boys I've been eyeing from Switch (the other being Hahwa but sadly, he wasn't released as a head-only during the event T_T). So I got Huisa's head on May 17 and he arrived without much fuss on July 25. I know it's September now... a heck of a long time to post up his box opening even with a backlog, but in my defense, there are too many projects, too little time, just like there are too many dolls, too little money LOL!
Anyway, it was a simple box opening ceremony and Junsu and Miyu was there to welcome him. Forgive the grainy/dark pictures as they were taken at night!
