Today is the day I sent off Chouette to his new home.
I'm sorry to see him go but I hope he will be happier in his new home and that he can find much more love there than I could have ever give him here.
So farewell Chouette. Stay safe on your journey and I hope you reach your new home safe and sound!

It's "official". I've finally decided to list Chouette (previously Hyun) up for sale on DOA. Among all my dolls, he is the one whom I work on the most given the crappy state Leeke World sent him in to me (bad seams and all that). He is also the one who has undergone the most makeovers to find a look that suits him. Despite all that work, which some said is supposed to aid in bonding, I somehow still find something lacking. Sometimes, I wish I can bring out the potential in him like some owners I've seen done with their dolls. But I wonder if it's time for him to find someone who can work their magic on him. I must admit I am apprehensive about listing him as I don't think he's a popular sculpt, but hopefully, he will find someone who will love him enough to give him a new home...

I've been telling myself I need to stay off Taobao, but noooo itchy hands just had to go and start surfing and clicking on websites, so I ended up having yet another Taobao spree and expanding my boys' never ending wardrobe collection. This time, I decided to give Hyunie's another makeover as I wasn't too satisfied with his previous one. So little guy got a new set of outfit plus a new wig to boot. I had to trim the wig quite a lot as it was too big and too long for the little guy and I thought it was a pity to crop away those lovely wavy strands but, oh well.
And now for more Hyunie spam!

Hyunie was originally Sang Woo, but his name was later changed to Chil Hyun after I decided to keep him. Hyunie is a nickname I gave him because I like the way it sounds lol. He is the doll I worked on the most because I was disappointed with his super crappy seams and limited posing, even though I really love his sculpt. I had to sand a big part of his body and restring him twice, and my work is still not completed, but I've since grown to accept his imperfections. So despite everything, here we are on our second anniversary! ♥
I really like that he is such a natural at standing poses; I can just plop him down and he'll stand in his cute little pose without much fussing (though he can't sit for nuts)! And as usual, a little profile of Hyunie to celebrate his anniversary~

I've been wanting to change Hyunie's look after I saw someone's Chouette also wearing the same outfit on Flickr; the co-incidence is really a bit too creepy for me considering they are on the same doll LOL! So, little Hyunie had a small change of hairstyle and shirt (I just removed the sweater and tie and threw in a singlet LOL, lazy me). I was supposed to sand him and restring him too but I got lazy, though I gave him a new faceup while I was doing Rain's. I actually wanted to see if he could show a different expression other than looking sad. I think now he looks a little bored although I should have skip the joker lip lines. ¬_¬
Hyunie is ready to shed his good boy image! ✧ω✧
And he can't resist showing his sexy back!
His head band was made out of a bigger head band (lol) and the idea for it came from SHINee Taemin in Lucifer's MV while the tied-back hair is inspired by Heechul of Super Junior in a Superman Live performance video ROFL. I don't care if the combi makes Hyunie looks weird looool!

Finally got around to make the 1 year anniversary gifts for little Tetsuya and Hyun - a sling bag for Hyun, a Teddy Bear backpack for Tetsuya, and some handmade books~ And then it was on to some bonding session for the little ones:

I received my Luts order on Friday, redid (yet again) Tetsuya and Hyun's faceup on Saturday. So here are some little updates of the boys~

I realized that most of their wigs are almost the same color and cut LOL.
Manabu: changed outfit to Luts Risio set.

So.... I've decided to keep Sang Woo for now but he has been given a new wig change (his hair has grown longer! (￣◻￣)) and a new name change. (Alas! Fickle-minded me!). Like Tetsuya, his name is from people I like in real life, and in Sang Woo's case, his new name is a ripoff from KangTa, though I kept most of Sang Woo's personality.

I did a faceup for little Tetsuya and Hyun last week but I didn't like it, so I redid them again. The current ones are a little more back to my natural style but with *slightly* more color to the eye areas and cheeks than I would usually use. Here are the results! (though I don't think the photos captured the colors much.....OTL)

He looks so sad, his sadness draws me in. I ordered a Chouette on 1.1.2011 (nice date lol) and was expecting him only in Feb. Leeke surprised me when I received him on 1.11.2011 (another nice date lol). Apparently they sent him out on 1.7.2011. (=.=")
Here's his box opening! It took me a while because I had to sand him, gave him a (crappy) faceup, on top of trimming and fixing his wig. (He's one doll I had to work so much on =.=). Pardon the crappy pictures, as they were taken at night. Enjoy~ ^^
