HAPPY HALLOWEEN! \(>w<)/
Today is not just Halloween but also our L's, of Death Note fame, birthday and arrival date. Admittedly, it took Galileo a lot of planning, scheming and threatening Lady Luck to stand on her side to make it happen. [Recap]
It has been 3 years since L came home to us to a rainy day. There's no Halloween photoshoot this year again, supposedly due to time constraints, but in actuality because Galileo is as lazy as ever. Like last year, there is a simple photoshoot for L, with his simple new gift from all of us. Nothing as epic as last year though, because Galileo is lazy, as always. So here goes.
His birthday gift --- a jar of Nutella! L approves.

It all started when someone tagged me on Instagram for a doll selfie, so I took the chance over the weekend to snap some photos of L since he does not have that much photo time.
Technically though, L would never take any photos of himself and expose himself online for the whole world to see (and stalk), but it got me thinking, what if, what if L uses Instagram? ∑(° Д °) LOL!

It's Halloween!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! ♥
October 31 is a special date not only because it's Halloween, but also because it's L's (of Death Note) birthday, and L's (my Soom Chrom) arrival date! Can the date get any more special than that? ♥(>w<)♥
I was initially planning to do a Halloween theme photoshoot, but I was making a present for L and was in a rush to have it done by the end of October, so I didn't get to do any nice Halloween photoshoot. But I managed to do a simple one for L with his new present.

Yes! It's the hyottoko mask that was used by L (Matsuyama Ken'ichi) in the Death Note Live-action films! (≧ー≦)

I made the hyottoko mask from scratch out of LaDoll clay and painstakingly painted all the details by hand. Granted, it isn't a perfect 100% exact copy, shape-wise or detail-wise, since I couldn't find a clear, proper photo of the one used by L for reference. And in the rush, I also put the mask on the wrong side of his head LOL! But I supposed I am happy enough with the end result considering the rush to complete it before Halloween!

I was originally intending to do some kind of magazine spread for L's photoshoot, but then I got sidetracked and backlogged. I'm slowly clearing my backlog and I figured I might as well post up L's photos from October 2012 (LOL!) first before I start on the newer ones. So here we go! Maybe one day I'll get around to do up a magazine spread for him? rofl!

It's Halloween!
And also the birthday of L of Death Note!
And also the one-year anniversary of my L (Soom Chrom)!

I actually took some photos of L intending to share them on this special day, considering that he didn't really have any proper photoshoot since he first arrived. But somehow I ended up making a hastily and crappily done "magazine cover" of him instead lol. So I thought, why not actually make a magazine spread of him with those photos?! I know it's not in his character to do something like this, but whatever, this is just for fun! Consider it as Wammy's House's poor attempt at "fanservice", after blackmailing L to agree to it by threatening to cut off his endless supply of cakes and sweets ROFL. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the other "pages" due to time constraints, so I'll just share the cover first as a sneak preview, and post the rest again later (provided I don't get too lazy to finish it up ROFL!)

I remembered saying somewhere that I was trying to look for a suitable fiber wig for L (not really a fan of fur wig) but given his hairstyle, I think it's a pain in the ass trying to look for it. I came across this Luts wig last year winter event and I thought I could style it a little for L. Yes, yes, I bought it last year but only tried styling it now, mainly because I saw this wig and it reminded me of Jong Hyun >ω< sooooo I just had to get it LOL.

So back to topic and long story short, I was trying to sell un-used wigs to recoup a little bit of cash and I came across the supposed L wig and decided to try styling it. I had to cut the fringe a little but somehow the whole hair can't get as "spiky" as L's original hair. I might try hair spraying/waxing it, but I highly doubt it will stay, so... I guess it's back to fur again? OTL

There is this awesome cake store that opened at my local shopping mall (awesome because the shop was very sweetly decorated and served by girls in sweet, pink maid uniforms >w<). I always wanted to try their cakes but resisted so far, but I finally crave in yesterday and bought some from The Icing Room. I usually don't post food review but then I thought how could I not take photos of such lovely cakes with my boys?! So here we go!
(This is not really a review, just an excuse to take more photos of the boys LOL)

Been a bit busy lately, but L is back from his faceup last week! Unfortunately the lack of time meant I didn't get to spend much time on him so I took some random snapshots, add PS actions to "beautify" my otherwise crappy photo and ta-dah! Here you go:
The artist's faceup (mingyi from DoA) is quite lovely in person than on photos actually, but I can't help thinking maybe the Chrom sculpt isn't that suitable (though I do like Chrom as L). I think he looks like some emo rocker more. Heck, maybe I could give him a leather coat and a whip and make him into a visual-kei singer or something LOL. (But then I'd need to get a drummer, a guitarist, and a keyboardist to complete the band! LOOOL). I also regret not asking the faceup artist to add a mole on his nose like Matsuyama Ken'ichi but then again, I don't think L has a mole on his nose.
On another note, Tetsuya and Hyun's 1 year anniversary was actually earlier this month (on Jan 6 and 11 respectively). I was thinking of making some gifts for them but illness, laziness and spring cleaning for the Lunar New Year killed my weekends. So hopefully I'll get it done this weekend and post some photos up!

Junior Near is here!! ♥ Here's a sneak peek of him until I have time to post the photos of the box opening and some comments about him. And ignore that... "blond-ish" wig. Long story short, seller said it was "WHITE" wig but it turned out to be not white at all. So I am still waiting for his wig that I bought from another seller and eyes to come. Junior L will also be having new eyes~

Rosen Lied finally shipped me back Junior Sage's head cap! Junior L is now officially revived! And on this day at that, November 5, which is L's date of death. Talk about irony.

Near's outfit is done (maybe). Pretty crappy actually, I didn't bother with the seams so it's a real mess underneath with all those fraying, and I CHEATED on the buttons, which are sewed on. LOL. Anyway, here's little Tetsuya modelling the outfit. What do you think? Does it look like Near's outfit? Feedback or suggestions for improvements are very much welcome! >w<

YAY! Rosenlied has shipped Sage's head back! I hope I get him in time for October 31st. If I can't get Chrom (L) for an October 31 birthday (exactly NOT as planned, darn Soom, all my planning, down the drain!), at least junior L can accompany me on that day. In case you are wondering, October 31st is not just Halloween but also L's birthday! Yes, yes, I am obsessed. Sooooo I hope Sage can reach me before October 31st or I'll totally be in emo mode for the whole day. T_T
On another note, lazy me finally got started on Near's outfit. Since I don't have a Soom doll yet, I'm using Sage's poor headless body for measurements. I just hope it fits Soom's measurement. =.= Managed to finish the pants, so I'm left with just the shirt, which I think is a pain in the ass. I think my fabric is a little translucent, plus I am not too confident making shirts. Maybe I should just buy instead. =.=

I just had a really crazy idea. At the moment, my little ones can be sorted into based-on-characters team (Manabu, Masaru), based-on-idols team (Tetsuya, Chil Hyun), chibi Death Note team (L, Near), and now I think I want to add a chibi Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children team LOL. Like, Cloud, Vincent, Rufus and Sephiroth. In home-y outfits instead of their default costumes. Can you imagine chibi Cloud wearing cute little kitty sweater or hoodie sitting on your bed? That would be E-P-I-C cuteness overload!! Hey! I could call them the CLOVeRS Team! (CLOud, Vincent, (e) Rufus, Sephiroth)!! OMG. I am so hyped. Gonna start planning. Weeeee~ go go me!! o(>w<)O

It has been a crazy day. I was in a dilemma whether to get Soom Alk because I was worried about September Soom releases, so for the past few days I did the same shopping cart thingy again as I did with Ayumu, that is, add to cart, thinks, deletes, add again, hesitate, logoff, login again, looks at cart, sigh, deletes, go back to order page, and randomly add different quantity to see how many dolls are left.
Eventually I decided to just put him on layaway until September release but for some reason, I ended up with 4 Alks and a $1000+ order LOL. I swear I deleted those Alks before checking out, I dunno why! I panicked and spammed the Q&A board but luckily Victoria was understanding although I think she laughed at me for being a klutz about that $1K order. (¬_¬)
I hope she manages to combine my order soon so that I can pay before my order expires. (Good way to test if Alk and I are fated to be together! ♥)
And, I also updated my wishlist. For some reason, I began thinking about getting an SD version of Near to accompany my (incoming??) L... LOL *facepalm me* But I guess that is just wishful thinking! ಥ_ಥ

I suddenly got a really crazy idea...
....to create a chibi Death Note cast with L, Light, Near and Birthday Beyond (although I don't know if BB is an officially recognized DN character or just a spinoff character from the novel (*confused*), but still....)! ♥
That way, I'll have two good and two evil on each side. I think I will die of the cute with four of them tinies in my house!
I am too obsessed with L, I think, even if it has been years since I last read DN. LOL (and OTL).
Sadly, that means "butchering" more of my current (and planned) characters if I am to keep to my seven-tinies limit. And, I don't know where to get Light's outfit *urgh*.

omg why am I already starting planning when I haven't even confirmed it??

So, I am in a dilemma. I don't know whether Sage should be L or Masaru, Manabu's lil brother. He looked like he could be both - he has Masaru's facial features and resemblance to Manabu, but I think he does also make a great L (well, basically my "type" of L is based on this and Matsuyama Ken'ichi protrayal of L (those lips! *dies*)).
The thing is, as Masaru, his head is obviously smaller than Manabu (though I thought he could be the frail, weak lil brother which is why he (his head?) looked smaller (LOL???), but as L, he isn't white-skin, though his little hands scream "L" and his Rosenlied body can practically slouch! ♥ (And to admit, I sort of had a crazy idea to get another Sage or Poppy and make him Beyond Birthday) ≧∇≦
So, I gave Sage a coin and told him to decide if he wants to be Masaru or L. Apparently, he couldn't make up his mind either because the coin rolled off the table and under the table to God knows where. OTL
Oh dilemma *theatrical sigh*
